Public Reading of the Declaration of Independence sponsored by State Representative Sally Kerans.
This will be the 16th Annual Public Reading of the Declaration of Independence on July 4 at 11:00 a.m. at Rotary Pavilion, Peabody Institute Library of Danvers, Sylvan Street Danvers.
This year’s reading comes on the heels of the 250th Anniversary of the Battles of Lexington and Concord and as we prepare for the nation’s 250th Anniversary of Independence on July 4, 2026.
Those who wish to read should arrive by 10:30 to receive a reading part. All are welcome. The event will take place rain or shine.
We have attended for the last few years. It is more impactful than I expected. It is a moving tribute to our democracy made by ordinary citizens.
